About the course

The main objective of mastering the discipline is to form a certain set of competencies for students to prepare for professional activity.
The course is designed for Master's students of Operation and engineering of nuclear power plants major, 1st semester.
The course discusses general information about the turbine and turbine plant; the thermal process of the turbine stage; multi-stage steam turbines; turbine operation under variable conditions.

Special attention is paid to the study of steam turbine designs.

Results

1. To know the thermodynamic processes occurring in nuclear power plant equipment and be able to calculate the parameters of these processes.

2. To know the design of turbine installations of nuclear power plants and the method of calculating the turbine stage.

3. To possess the skills of designing thermal circuits of nuclear power plants, taking into account the features of a nuclear steam generating unit.
