Professional Ethics

About the course

The aim of this course is to develop students' ability to adequately analyse and resolve complex ethical issues arising in the course of professional activity, as well as to develop skills in documentation and correspondence in accordance with ethical standards. Students will be taught to organise discussions of research results and professional activity, taking into account the diversity of cultural and social contexts. The course also aims to develop skills in maintaining medical and technical documentation with an emphasis on professional ethics, as well as to create tools for automating calculations and data analysis in compliance with ethical standards and requirements.

Learning Outcomes

  • Analyze problematic situations of an ethical nature in the field of professional activity.
  • Compile standard documentation and conduct correspondence taking into account ethical requirements in the field of professional activity.
  • Organize discussion of research results, results of professional activity, integrate interaction and communication taking into account the specifics of the business and general culture of representatives of different ethnic groups and faiths, other social
  • groups, professional ethics.
  • Maintain medical and technical documentation in the field of professional activity taking into account the requirements of professional ethics.
  • Develop general reference books and tables, develop program codes for automatic calculation and analysis of data taking into account the requirements of professional ethics.

Course program

The course consists of two chapters:
Section 1. Functions, responsibilities and requirements for education and professional training of medical physicists in clinical practice

This section requires you to attend two lectures and complete a practical assignment.

Section 2. Organizational, economic and research aspects of medical physics

This section requires you to attend two lectures and complete two practical assignments.
